The Language Institute of Ireland was established in the mid 1980's to provide English Language Learning for non-English native speakers. Initially students came from family contacts in Spain, but the scope grew quite quickly to include students from France, Italy, Austria and latterly Eastern Europe and Asia.
Director Mary Codd has worked as an Educator and children's teacher in Ireland for twenty years. Programme Manager Niall Wall combines his teaching experience with a business degree. Both Mary and Niall run the Language Institute of Ireland at a modern teaching premises in Wexford town, which is situated on the south east coast of Ireland. Along with daily classes, they arrange accommodation for their students with reliable local families. The student's learning curve is thereby enhanced by conversation and interaction at home with their host family.
The style of the school has always been to provide quality teaching in a friendly supportive atmosphere combined with an entertaining, recreational and cultural programme.
Both Niall and Mary are familiar with the questions every parent has regarding a learning trip - they are parents themelves. They are on hand by e-mail to answer questions about the Institute's programmes. To e-mail us, click here.
